Dhaka, Jan 17 (UNB) – Guerrilla, a movie based on the events of Bangladesh Liberation War, emerged as the best film of the year 2011, as the government on Thursday announced the National Film Award-2011.
Guerrilla, an adaptation of the novel Nishiddho Loban by Syed Shamsul Huq, was produced by Esha Yusuf and Faridur Reza Sagor.
Director of the movie Nasir Uddin Yusuf has been adjudged as the best film director for the year, said a PID handout on Thursday.
The other awardees are:
Lifetime Achievement: Abdur Razzak, Best Actor: Ferdous Ahmed (Kusum Kusum Prem), Best Actress: Joya Ahsan (Guerrilla), Best Side Actor: MA Alamgir, Best Side Actress: Farida Akhter Bobita (Key Apon Key Por).
