The government today announced the names of 24 artistes and others for the National Film Award- 2011 in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the country's film industry.
Matinee idol Abdur Razzak will receive the Life Time Achievement Award, said an official handout.
Ferdous Ahmed has been judged as best actor for his outstanding performance in the film 'Kusum Kusum Prem''. TV drama darling Joya Ahsan won the best actress award for her dynamic performance in the film "Guerrilla".
The film 'Guerrilla' produced by Faridur Reza Sagar and Esha Yousuf won in the best film category, while Nasiruddin Yousuf Bachchu was named best film director for the same film.
The award for the best actor in supporting role went to M A Alamgir for the film 'Ke Apon Ke Por' while Farida Akhter Babita bagged the best actress in supporting role award for the same movie.
Kumar Biswajit was named as the best singer male in the film 'Ma Amar Chokher Moni' and Mazmoon Munira (Nancy) as the best singer female for the film 'Projapoti'.
