Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations scheduled to be held Tuesday have been shifted to Friday as Jamaat called a countrywide hartal on the day.
Confirming the matter to banglanews on Monday, Dhaka Education Board Chairman SM Wahiduzzaman said, "The examinations will be held from 9:00am to 12:00pm on Friday."
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami called a dawn-to-dusk countrywide hartal for Tuesday in protest against the upcoming verdict of its leader Abdul Quader Mollah in a war crimes case.
The party also threatened non-stop hartal if International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) delivers verdict against the Jamaat leader in the case.
